An entry-level unsuspended belt-drive Thorens of the late 1980s with auto shut-off, made in several Mk versions. Simpler than the suspended classics but solidly made and easy to service.
A cheap, honest way to put the Thorens badge on the shelf, popular as a starter vintage deck.

Best suited to: buyers comfortable assessing used condition and budgeting for servicing (drive mechanism, bearing, stylus). Less ideal for: a no-hassle purchase with a manufacturer warranty — buy a current model instead.
