£329 UK RRP

The Orbit with an acrylic platter and Ortofon cartridge — the sweet spot of the range.

Model history: This is the second-generation Orbit Plus, updated in U-Turn's 2024 refresh with the OA3 magnesium tonearm (trickled down from the flagship Theory), a fully machined acrylic platter, and a new molded silicone drive belt, replacing the original Orbit Plus (Gen 1).

Who it suits

Best suited to: a first serious turntable for an existing or planned amp-and-speakers setup. Less ideal for: plugging straight into passive speakers with no amp — check the built-in phono stage row above, and note most hi-fi decks still need external amplification.
