The 'serato-ready' Reloop: performance pads and MIDI controls built into the deck for triggering cues and loops in Serato DJ, on top of a full pro direct-drive.

Model history: The RP-8000 MK2 builds on the original RP-8000 by adding eight larger RGB Serato performance pads for a new 'Platter Play' mode, a Reverse button, a detachable LED light and a more stable, height-adjustable tonearm base.

Who it suits
Best suited to: mixing, scratching and beatmatching — the torque and start-up speed exist for that job. Less ideal for: a quiet, vibration-isolated deck for critical home listening — belt-drive hi-fi decks are built for that instead.
Compatibility and setup
- Needs a DJ mixer or audio interface with a phono input to be usable — this is a mixing/scratching deck, not designed to feed a hi-fi amplifier directly.
- Manual operation: you cue and lift the tonearm by hand at the start and end of each side — there’s no auto-return or auto-lift.
Good to know
- No built-in phono stage — use an amplifier with a phono input or add a separate phono preamplifier.
- Has a USB output for recording vinyl to a computer.
- Sold without a cartridge fitted — budget for a compatible cartridge and setup before first use.
