The Canadian Delphi's sculptural skeletal suspended design made it as much gallery piece as turntable, with each of its three towers housing a tuned suspension. It has evolved through Mk versions ever since 1979 and remains in production as the Delphi MkVI.
A design icon among 1980s suspended turntables, still turning heads and still made.
Who it suits
Best suited to: buyers comfortable assessing used condition and budgeting for servicing (drive mechanism, bearing, stylus). Less ideal for: a no-hassle purchase with a manufacturer warranty — buy a current model instead.
