Linn's mid-price deck used electronic speed control and a clever damped suspension to deliver much of the LP12's character without the setup fuss. Usually found with the Akito or Basik Plus arm.
The sensible person's Linn — LP12 flavour with plug-and-play stability.

Best suited to: buyers comfortable assessing used condition and budgeting for servicing (drive mechanism, bearing, stylus). Less ideal for: a no-hassle purchase with a manufacturer warranty — buy a current model instead.
