Garrard's early-70s flagship automatic featured a unique articulating tonearm whose headshell pivoted continuously to keep tracking error at effectively zero across the record. Idler-driven in original form (the later Zero 100SB was belt-drive), it was sold as a single player and as a changer.
A cult classic for its ingenious zero-tracking-error articulated arm, unmatched by any mainstream rival.
Who it suits
Best suited to: buyers comfortable assessing used condition and budgeting for servicing (drive mechanism, bearing, stylus). Less ideal for: a no-hassle purchase with a manufacturer warranty — buy a current model instead.
